Producer and main host--Cathlyn Choi

Executive Producer & Host, Cathlyn Choi

Recognized by her fans and media as the Hansik Korean Food Ambassador,  Cathlyn is the star and host of “Cathlyn’s Korean Kitchen,” currently in its fourth season, airing on national PBS and on Channel 4 in San Diego.  In addition to 20 years of international business development and brand marketing background, Cathlyn has over 18 years of experience as a reporter, TV show host and MC in Korea and US.  Through her media company Carma Media Productions, she has received numerous recognition and awards for her service to the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.  Cathlyn is also the Founder and Board Chair, ACMA, President of Korean Women’s International Network San Diego Chapter and a Board member of Taylion High Desert Academy.

Eric Michelson

Co-Producer, Eric Michelson

With over 20 years of tv/film and video production experience including producing, directing, writing and editing, Eric’s experience includes corporate training programs, commercial spots, music videos, live fashion and music events to short films and documentaries.  He currently co-owns Carma Media Productions and has co-produced 4 seasons of Cathlyn’s Korean Kitchen including Top Chef Korean Food Challenge and Hansik Stories for tvK24, Arirang TV and PBS, currently directing and co-producing Asian Voices.

Associate Producer, Megan Shimizu

Megan Shimizu (she/her/hers) recently graduated from UC San Diego with a major in Communication, and a minor in Writing. She is passionate about film making, with a special focus on screenwriting. As a half-Japanese woman who has experienced life around the United States, she has learned to love and appreciate a variety of communities and cultures. Megan hopes to work with other passionate filmmakers to bring the stories of those who are not conventionally given attention by the media a chance to be seen and appreciated on screen. She is also an assistant instructor of ACMA’s Take One Vocational Youth Media Training and Internship Program.
